The International B14 World Championships will be held on the Swan River, Perth, one of the most famous skiff-racing venues in the world, from January 6 to 13, 2012. The Australian National Championships will be held immediately prior, from January 2 to 5, 2012.
The Organising Authority is the Perth Dinghy Sailing Club, in conjunction with the International B14 Association of Australia. All racing will be conducted on the waters of the Swan River. Accommodation is available directly across the road from the PDSC, at the University of Western Australia, in St Georges College (location map). This information is provided as supplement to, but not as part of, the Notice of Race.
Why Should You Go:
It’s a leisurely drive from some of the best winery, touring and surfing country in
the world. Just up the coast you can swim with dolphins and drive on gigantic sand
dunes. And a little further afield, some of the most extraordinary scenery on
earth. Once in a lifetime stuff....

If you're coming from England:
Perth is just 4.5 hours from Singapore, ie a lot closer than Sydney! They say there
are over 3000 hours of sunshine in this town each year. Which might be enticing
when you are 3 months into a dreary grey winter..
